8. 1. To collect samples of ethnic minority languages in Bangladesh such as Chakma, Marma, Murang, Santal, Tripura, Garo, Hajong, Monipuri, Onrao, etc., and to make necessary survey into them, and to publish researches undertaken on the traits and nature of those findings.

8. 2. To find out the causes of disappearance of the primitive tribe called 'Munda' from Bangladesh and to discover affinities and differences between Bengali and Munda (On this context, to find out history of languages of Munda and Onrao tribes).

9. a. To collect researches so far done on stone and copper inscriptions of ancient Bengal, particularly during Murya, Gupta, Pala and Sena periods and to make arrangements, if necessary, to publish them through re-deciphering, analysis and evaluation.

9. b. To hold discussion on the traits of the arts called 'Bengal Art' of Murya, Gupta and Pala periods.

10. To conduct researches on the changes of Bengali scripts (In this respect, mention may be made to the Nagri scripts of Sylhet, to the writing of Bengali in Arabic or any other scripts in Chittagong and various other regions).

11. To collect information about languages by using available modern information technologies like internet, website, etc.

12. 1. To set up resource centres, learning centres and model language laboratories in order to offer courses and training on different languages.

12.2. To make arrangements to offer short courses, especially on English and Arabic for those willing to go abroad on job purposes and to introduce courses on the languages of other countries including Malaysia, Japan, Taiwan and Korea. If necessary, more new courses on languages may be introduced.

3. To make arrangements to introduce courses and training on applied linguistics.

4. To offer a six or three month training to different groups consisting of ten or fifteen persons each in order to collect dialects, to write, analyse and compile them into a standard language.

13. To find out and preserve the world languages that have disappeared and about to disappear.

14. To make arrangements, if necessary, to graphise those languages which have no alphabet of their own. To use International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) for the purpose. Additional signs may be used, if needed.

15. To review the methods undertaken in different countries of the world for studying, developing and promoting mother languages and to ascertain whether those methods are applicable for the Bengali language.
